ince February 2020, Texas has created opportunities out of catastrophic
events. Texas’s economy and housing market exploded. Notably, the
bankruptcy courts in Texas, especially, in the Southern District of Texas
became a hot spot for important Chapter 11 decisions. Most citizens do
not appreciate or even realize the impact of an efficient and just legal
Ssystem. Some of the Southern District of Texas Bankruptcy Courts’
recent decisions revolutionized the bankruptcy process and the entities that filed. Some
of the most recent dynamic cases and decisions were filed in the Bankruptcy Courts
in Houston, Texas such as the J.C. Penney Company, Inc., Chuck E. Cheese, CBL &
Associates Properties, Inc., the Men’s Wearhouse, and Belk.
